Travelling by car: (1) Approaching from the A9 north, A9 south and the A862 Beauly road: Follow the signs for the A82 to Fort William. Once onto Kenneth Street, follow the full length until you reach the junction with Tomnahurich Street. (The Royal Bank of Scotland and Victoria Wine Off Licence shop are opposite these traffic lights). You should be in the right-hand lane and turn right into Tomnahurich Street. Carry on along this road, passing the Highland Council Headquarters on the left-hand side and then take the next road left into Bishops Road. Just a few yards into Bishops Road, turn sharp right into Ballifeary Road. Ballifeary Guest House is on the right hand side. (2) Approaching from Fort William on the A82: As you are approaching Inverness you will see a golf course on either side of the road. Cross over the small canal bridge and look for the cemetery on the left-hand side. Then look for a public phone box on the right-hand side and Ballifeary Road is the first turning on the right past this telephone box. Ballifeary Guest House is at the far end of the road, on the left-hand side, when approaching from this direction. By Train: There is a taxi rank outside the railway station on the left-hand side. Ask for Ballifeary Guest House. The fare is about £2. Once at the hotel it will only take about 10 minutes to walk back to town. By air: Taxis or buses are available outside the terminal. Taxi fare is about £10 to Ballifeary Guest House. For further information go to our FAQ's page.
